That is a question we are regularly asked and are happy to answer.
The range of outdoor showers that we offer is quite diverse and consists of free-standing round and straight models and models that can be built into, for example, a garden shed or pool house. Which shower suits you best is a personal choice, but there are also a number of practical factors that can influence your choice.
Making garden plans = making choices
To choose the right shower for your garden, it is first useful to draw up a plan. By making a plan, you are forced to make choices in advance. Making choices is important to create unity and not just combine a few random items, which may be very beautiful in themselves, but do not look good together.
When making a plan, it is good to think about the functions you would like to have in the garden. Would you like to be able to shower in your own garden? Then make room in the garden design for a shower area. Don't forget that there must be a water pipe in the outdoor area. If you would also like hot water to come from the outdoor shower, an additional pipe must be installed for this. It is therefore wise to think about this carefully in advance, because once the garden is completely ready, it would be a shame to have to open it up again.
Your functional wishes also determine part of the choice for the outdoor shower, because if you want an outdoor shower with hot water, then all versions with a single connection are excluded. And if you also plan to use the outdoor shower for purposes other than just showering, for example to quickly rinse the muddy shoes (or the dog ;-)) after a walk, then an extra hand shower on the outdoor shower is a welcome addition. .
So you can see that the function is already a very determining factor when making your choice for the right outdoor shower.
In addition to function, taste is of course decisive when choosing your outdoor shower
Do you want a lot of greenery in the outdoor area, or do you opt for a sleek, low-maintenance garden with few trees and plants? What style will the outdoor space have? Where in the outdoor area will the shower be located? Do you have a large garden, a small garden or a roof terrace? These are all questions that determine the right choice.
For example, for a small garden, a smaller/slimmer model such as the Cumulus is a good choice. But do you have a larger garden, or do you just want to make a statement with the outdoor shower? Then the robust Calvus is the shower for you! Are you looking for something special, an outdoor shower with an extra touch? Then the Cirrus with its industrial shower tap is a top choice.
The above are all round models, but a straight model such as the Arcus is also a real eye-catcher and looks very good in a garden plan with many round shapes, for example.
If you have little space in your outdoor area, a built-in outdoor shower is the solution! Our Alto can be mounted on a wall and therefore takes up little space. But the Alto can also complete the picture as part of a wellness garden near the sauna or hot tub.
Color or no color on the outdoor shower?
After you have mapped out the above considerations, one question remains. Which color are we going to choose? Our outdoor showers are all made of stainless steel, but can be coated in any RAL color if desired. This coating is extremely strong and will remain beautiful for years.
If you have a garden with many trees and plants, a brushed stainless steel garden shower is a very nice choice. The colors of the garden reflect in the shower, making it completely one with the garden. A beautiful sight if you ask us.
But a black outdoor shower is also completely hot and happening! Black in the interior has been very popular for some time and is therefore frequently used in the interior. With a black outdoor shower you can easily extend this modern style outside.
But any other RAL color is also possible! We previously opted for white. But army green or sky blue is also possible. It just depends on which color you like and find suitable for your outdoor space. Perhaps you would choose a garden shower in cherry red for a Japanese garden...? It's all possible!
Outdoor shower in coastal area
If the outdoor shower will be located near seawater, we strongly advise against color coating and brushed stainless steel! The influence of the salt from the seawater can cause the shower to get ugly scratches. To prevent this, choose stainless steel 316. This stainless steel is resistant to seawater influences, so that your outdoor shower will remain beautiful for years, even in coastal areas. More information about this can be found on the page Seawater resistant outdoor shower..
